Neighborhood Toy Store Day

There is something special about a Neighborhood Toy Store.  Children feel like they’ve stepped inside Santa’s Workshop and parents have the reassurance that each toy was specially selected for its unique play value.

This year, The Orb Factory is celebrating Neighborhood Toy Store Day by sending over 1000 play day kits to local toy stores across North America.  Children will be able to stop into their Neighborhood Toy Store and make their very own SparkleUps® or mini PlushCraft™ kit.

The Orb Factory sees Specialty Toy Stores as magical places bursting with creativity, excitement, and possibilities.  They have knowledgeable staff who love what they sell and are quick to suggest the perfect gift for any occasion.  Local stores offer special services, help to preserve a vital downtown, and reinvest profits into the community.

Neighborhood Toy Store Day is a time for local toy stores to engage with the community.  From free craft events to special guests, Specialty Toy Stores use this time to engage with customers and show off their favorite products.

Last year’s programs included crafts, entertainers, scavenger hunts, and charitable donations. Through Neighborhood Toy Store Day, customers see that Specialty Toy Retailers are more than just stores, they are a central part of the community.

Neighborhood Toy Store Day takes place on November 10, in both the US and Canada.

Neighborhood Toy Store Day is hosted by the American Specialty Toy Association (ASTRA) and Neighborhood Toy Stores of Canada.
