Goodbye 2012

The tree is down and the ball has dropped.  We’re saying goodbye 2012 and ready to welcome 2013, and all that comes with it.  Looking back at 2012, it's clear that The Orb Factory has had a great year!

We launched PlushCraft

PlushCraft™Cupcake Pillow
In 2012, we unveiled PlushCraft™, the no-sew fabric-by-number craft.  From the initial brainstorming stages right up until days before New York Toy Fair, we had a huge team putting all their passion and creative energy into these products.

We started out with 12 unique kits and added three more last June. We’re listening to feedback and evolving our products to fit our customer’s needs.  We’re excited to launch even more items this February.

Licenses

In 2011 we acquired licenses for both Fancy Nancy and VeggieTales®.  We spent the year brainstorming ideas for jewelry boxes, glittering accessories, pre-school kits, and more, finally launching products into the market in 2012.

VeggieTales® characters are lovable, funny, and teach important lessons like honesty and thankfulness, while Fancy Nancy™ is a spirited character with a love of words and unmatchable zeal for life.  Both properties inspire creativity, play, and self-confidence, making them a perfect match for our products.

This year we also signed on with Nickelodeon Canada to produce products for the hit franchise Winx.

Pulsar Powerballs

Curiosity Kits Pulsar Powerballs

Pulsar Powerballs™ was a huge 2012 landmark for us.  It is our first kit that really combines art and science.

Children pour crystals in the mold, mixing and matching colors to create a unique design for up to 5 Powerballs.  The mold is then submerged in water for five minutes.  Open the mold to reveal a Powerball that’s ready to bounce and soar.
